99 -- ELECTRO-MECHANICAL BRIDGE HOIST SOL F0260498Q0518 DUE 061898 POC Joseph Chapman @(602)856-7179x234 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, No. F02604-98-Q0518 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-4. This acquisition is reserved for small business; SIC:3536; Size Std.: 500 employees. Contract Line Item (CLIN) 0001; The contractor is responsible for furnishing all parts, labor, tools, materials, facilities, and transportation necessary to correctly complete the following installation project. 1.)Removal of existing manual 1 ton crane system- remove manual 1 ton chain operated crane assembly from existing monorail. Remove 107 LF of monorail track that is currently bolted to the ceiling mounted support beams in Rooms 024 and 025. Old 1 ton manual crane and monorail system is to become property of the contractor. Any applicable trade in allowance should be specified. 2.) Installation of New Electric Motorized 1 Ton Bridge Crane System. -- Relocate two existing steel header beams to the east end of room 024 to support the east end of the new runway rails. Furnish and install track runway rails that measure approximately 35' in length. Runway rails should be fastened to the ceiling in a minimum of 12' increments. Runway electrification to be flat cable festooned supported from trolleys running in a galvanized c-track. Bridge crane to be a 1 ton Wright motor driven hoist, equipped with overload switches. The available lift should be 13'6" at 16 feet per minute single speed. Bridge control will include a fused disconnect, a control transformer with both primary and secondary fusing, a mainline contractor, and fused protection for all motors. The bridge control will also contain variable frequency drive units for both bridge and trolley travel, a labeled terminal strip, and a complete set of engineered electrical drawings. The control of hoist, bridge, and trolley from a lightweight, 8 button pendant festooned across the span of the bridge. The bridge and trolley travel speeds will be variable from 5 to 60 feet per minute. 3.) Installation of Electrical System for 1 Ton Crane -- The existing 225 Amp 277/480V electrical panel located in room 025 is full. A new 100 Amp 277/480V sub-panel will have to be attached to the cinder block wall adjacent to the existing panel in room 025. Install 3 pole 80 Amp circuit breaker in existing 225 Amp panel to feed new sub-panel for added power as needed. Run 3/4" diameter electrical conduit with five No.12 wires from new sub-panel to new 30 disconnect feeding now overhead hoist. 4.) The contractor will be responsible for repairing any damage to rooms 024 and 025 inside Bld. 993 caused by any mishap during installation operations. The job site is to be cleaned of any debris or other items used during installation that could cause damage or injury to personnel inside the shop. 5.) Performance period for this project shall be a maximum of 15 calendar days. Quantity: 1 Job. Desired delivery : FOB: Destination to Bld. 993, Luke AFB, AZ.
