THRUST-PRESOLICITATION CONFERENCE [REF: Commerce Business Daily (CBD),
"Aerospace Sustainment Thrust", 10 MAR 98- INTRODUCTION: The Air Force
Research Laboratory (AFRL) Materials and Manufacturing Directorate
(AFRL/MLM) is hosting an offerors conference 0830 to 1200, 25 June
1998, Directorate Cafetorium, Bldg.653-first floor, Area B,
Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The subject conference pertains to the
referenced 10 March 1998 CBD announcement in preparation for a planned
June 1998 Broad Area Announcement (BAA) release. D -- CONFERENCE
AGENDA: 1) Air Force Manufacturing Technology (MANTECH) Program
Overview (Mr. Bruce Rasmussen-Processing and Fabrication Branch Chief);
2) Procurement Brief (Designated Procurement Officer); 3) FY99
Sustainment Initiatives Overview/Constraints (Ms. Persis
Elwood-Sustainment Thrust Technical Point of Contact); 4) Three Air
Force MANTECH Program Sustainment Initiatives-Flow Optimization of the
Repair Cycle [Mr. Brench Boden, BODENBL@ml.wpafb.af.mil, (937)
255-4623], Enhanced Overhaul and Repair Capability for Aging Subsystems
[Mr. John Barnes, BARNESJH@ml.wpafb.af.mil, (937) 255-2413], and
Manufacturing for Sustainment [Ms. Mary Kinsella,

Answers/Panel Discussion. Planned presentations shall emphasize
procurement schedule/requirements, funding allocation, initiative
strategies/objectives, legacy systems focus, MANTECH customer
expectations and draft BAA discussion. Details about each initiative
will be presented and potential offerors will be afforded the
opportunity to interact with the initiative project engineers
(identified above) which can be assured by contacting them now to
schedule 30-minute private sessions for either 25 or 26 June 1998. E --

Potential/interested offerors are encouraged to contact the identified
initiative project engineers prior to the conference to garner
additional information/secure clarification. Conference attendance is
limited to US and/or authorized foreign nationals. Participation in the
subject event is not mandatory and is not considered an allowable
charge to any contract. To avoid having to process through the Area B

Area B Visitor Center, next to Gate 1-B/Springfield Pike. Additional
