GPS RA-02 DUE 060998 POC Joseph Dorfler The Air Transport Association
of America (ATA) is seeking information from experienced Global
Positioning System (GPS) research organizations in support of its
research and development of GPS technologies. The ATA intends to
conduct an independent GPS risk assessment to determine the ability of
GPS and augmented GPS to: a) satisfy the performance requirements to
be the only navigation system installed in an aircraft to support an
operation anywhere in the National Airspace System (NAS); b) satisfy
the performance requirements to be the only navigation service provided
by the Federal Aviation Administration in the NAS to support an
operation. Organizations interested in providing information regarding
this research topic should submit a one-page summary of their
qualifications/experience and a one-page listing of the personnel
