necessary to perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the
following minimum items: (1) Renew Damaged Hull Plating, (2) Overhaul
Stern Tube Seals, (3) Modify Stern Tube Seal Cooling Systems, (4)
Service Both Onboard Controllable Pitch Propeller Systems, (5) Preserve
the Transducer Hull Rings and Renew the Depth Indication Transducers,
(6) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring/Renew dsn-450 Doppler Speed Log
Transducer, (7) Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves, (8) Blast Diesel Fuel
Tanks, (9) Overhaul and Renew Fuel Oil and JP-5 Fuel Filling Valves
and Fittings, (10) Service Rudder Assemblies, (11) Renew Fin Stabilizer
Seals and Bearings, (12) Preserve Antennas and Antenna Foundations,
(13) Preserve Bilges, (14) Preserve Underwater Body, (15) Preserve
Voids and Ballast Tanks, (16) Preserve Freeboard, (17) Galley
Renovation, (18) Provide Temporary Logistics, and (19) Routine
Drydocking. Indefinite items include but are not limited to the
following: (1) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings, (2) Overhaul,
Renew, and Test Valves, (3) Service Rudder Assemblies -- Rudder Stock
Repairs (Welding) and (Cladding), and (4) Renew Corrosion Preventive
Zinc Anodes. The vessels homeport is Portsmouth, VA. Place of
performance is restricted 75 miles of homemoorings. Vessel's
availability schedule is 14 SEP 1998 for 42 (forty-two) calendar days.
Vessel is a 270 Foot "B" Class Medium Endurance Cutter. All referenced
documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500,
Norfolk, VA. A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified
check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit
bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or after 16 JUNE 98. All responsible sources may submit a bid
which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. "ATTENTION:
