The U.S. Special Operations Command requires one (1), Field Service Engineer (FSE) to provide technical support for the LR-80 Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) and LTN-92 Internal Navigation System (INS) used on MH-60 and MH-47 aircraft. The FSE will be stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. The initial period of performance is 1 October 1998 through 30 September 1999 with options to renew the contract for up to four additional years. The FSE must possess thorough technical knowledge of both the LR-80 and LTN-92. The primary responsibility of the FSE is to provide advisory services for updating the skills of DA maintenance personnel and to serve as a liaison between Litton Aero Products and the customer organization. The intended source is Litton Systems, Aero Products Division, who developed and manufactured the LR-80 and LTN-92. The FSE must possess a security clearance not less than secret. We anticiipate release of an RFP at the end of June 98 with a closing date scheduled for the end of August 1998. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Note 22 applies.
