Q -- DENTAL ASSISTANCE SOL RFQ138-0221 DUE 071698 POC Norman Ward, Regional Contract Specialist The Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Penitentiary (USP), Terre Haute, In. intends to award a firm-fixed price type contract with indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity for the services of two (2) Dental Assistants. These services shall be provided to the inmate population of the USP and the adjacent Federal Prison Camp. The successful contractor shall assist staff Dental Officers during dental procedures. The contractor will process dental x-rays, sterilize instruments, maintain supplies, schedule patients and perform duties consistent with the field of Dental Assistance. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. It is anticipated that these positions will be required 20-30 hours weekly. These positions will not exceed 30 hours in a given week. The anticipated performance period is award, tentatively October 1, 1998, through twelve months. Additionally, the contact will provide for four (4) twelve month option periods. The anticipated release date of the solicitation June 10, 1998; closing July 16, 1998.
