As a result of this solicitation, USAID anticipates the award of up to eight (8) Indefinite Quantity Contract(s) (IQCs), each for a five year period. At a minimum, 25% of the anticipated 8 awards has been set-aside for U.S. Small Businesses. The IQC Contracts which will be awarded under this RFP are in support of the Global Bureau's Population, Health and Nutrition's (G/PHN) Strategic Support Objectives: SSO 2 "Increased use of safe pregnancy, women's nutrition, familyplanning, and other key reproductive health interventions; and, SSO 3 "Increased use of key child health and nutrition interventions". USAID Missions and Bureaus are focusing increasing proportions of their resources for maternal and child health. The overall goal of the TASC Activity is to support Missions and Bureaus in achieving their strategic objectives related to SSOs 2 and 3 by providing a source oflong- and short-term technical assistance, training and support to complete specified tasks in the areas of child health, maternal health, and nutrition. This procurement is a full and open competition. The issuance date of the RFP is expected to be approximately June 24, 1998. The closing date for submission of the proposals, to be specified in the RFP, will be approximately thrity (30) days thereafter. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet. If that is not possible, an applicant may request the solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format, disk to be provided by the requestor). The RFP and any future amendments thereto can be downloaded from the Agency Web Site. The Worldwide Web address is http://www.info.usaid.gov.
