NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER FOR A MULTICLIENT BENCHMARKING STUDY Notice of Intent to negotiate a sole source purchase order utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures with Haddon Jackson Associates, 595 Colonial Park Drive, Suite 101, Roswell, GA 30075 for a Multiclient Study that benchmarks relative performance levels of the hydroelectric generation functions at Hoover Dam, Davis Dam, and Parker Dam. The benchmarking requirement involves the collection of data, analysis of data and the comparison of the data with hydropower plants that are of similar size and age. The Contractor will attend a Data Review Workshop and Results Workshop. The Contractor will also travel to each company to conduct a Data Gathering Orientation/Assistance and Practices Interviews and again at the end of the study to conduct a one-day workshop to review the performance relative to other companies in the study and highlight improvement opportunities for management consideration. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the Contractor. Two copies of the final report will be provided and the final report for Hoover Dam requires customization, packaging of a report suitable for presentation to their Customer Group. The software database owned by Haddon Jackson Associates with the last five (5) years of information is required to show improvements which can only be measured over time. This information along with their knowledge and background enables Haddon Jackson Associates to complete this benchmarking study. Period of performance will be from date of award through August 1, 1998. See numbered Note 22. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $50,000.
