Services are provided to various locations throughout the Academy (Waterfront, Cadet Barracks, Clinic and Superintendent's Office). The work shall consist of providing laundry services for Coast Guard owned items and linen rental services. The following list of items represent customary monthly estimates for Laundry/Linen services utilized: LAUNDRY SERVICES: sleeping bags (60), single bed spreads (blue) (300), wool blankets (87), laundry bags (10), mattress pads (30), green hand towels (25), pajama trousers (200), pajama shirts (200), surgical scrubs tops (150) and bottoms (150), all size wrappers (1), bath robes (10), bath towels (350) and washcloths (15). LINEN RENTAL SERVICES: sheets (72" x 120") (1000), standard pillowcases (800), laboratory coats (65% dacrn/35% cotton)(10), examination gowns (back tie)(10), single bed spreads (blue)(148) and white hand towels (20). This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set Aside. Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7218. Size standard is 10.5 million. FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
