This maintenance work will be performed at Combat Equipment Group -- Asia (CEG-A) located at Naval Weapon Station, Charleston, SC. Interested sources should be capable of managing and performing maintenance on all classes of APS except Class I (MRE) and Class V (ammunition) in compressed time frames during ship turnarounds. Responsibility for maintenance of APS will continue while afloat and during handoff in contingency operations. Interested parties should be aware that this solicitation is open to a proposal being submitted by the South Carolina Army National Guard (SCANG). If the SCANG proposal is determined to be the Best Value to the Government by the Source Selection Authority, this solicitation would be cancelled and an award would be made under an agreement pursuant to 32 U.S.C. 113(A), dated Nov 18, 1997. A Presolicitation conference will be held on or about July 1, 1998 at HQ, AWRSPTCMD, Rock Island, Illinois.
