Federal Supply Schedule FSC Group 65, Part II, Section B, Medical Supplies, F.O.B. Destination within the 50 states, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, and optional provisions for F.O.B. Destination to Overseas locations. Fixed-price Indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity type contracts with Economic Price Adjustment provision. Economic price adjustments will be allowed in conjunction with the contractors' commercial practices. Multiple Awards. Small business size standard of 500 applies. Issue date will be on or about June 30, 1998. This solicitation will be a "standing" soliciation. The soliciation will be issued on an open-and-continuous basis and will not contain a closing date for recipt of offers. New offers may be submitted at any time. The Federal Supply Schedule will no longer have a prescribed beginning and ending date. The FSS performance period will be continuous. There will be variable performance periods for individual contracts. Performance will commence on the date of award (DOA) and expire five years from that date, unless cancelled, terminated, or extended pursuant to any option provisions included in the contract. All contracts under this Multiple Award Schedule solicitation will include an option to extend the term of the contract. The option clause may be exercised more than once, but the total extension of the contract period shall not exceed five years. The Government will award contracts for identical brand name items when offers are determined to be fair and reasonable to the Government. All contracts will include the Industiral Funding Fee requirement. Special Item Number (SIN): B-23, Larynx, Artifical & Tracheal Speaking Valves, (a) Battery Powered Types & Supplies, and (b) Implantable/Intraoral Type & Supplies will no longer be solicited in the 65IIB solicitation. No new offers for this type of item will be accepted. SIN B-41, Consumable Supplies for Hemodialysis/Peritoneal Dialysis Equipment, (a) Hospital Use, and (b) Home Use will no longer be included in the 65IIB solicitation. This type of item will now be included under Federal Supply Schedule FSC Group 65, Part II, Section D, Medical Equipment. Needle-free Jet Injectors will now be accepted and needle destructors will now be excluded under the SIN for needles and syringes. Other SINs will be rearranged and renumbered.
