99 -- JUMP START AEROBIC CARPET DUE 070698 POC S Stonestreet 3017434112 The Indian Head Division Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Maryland is seeking sources for carpeting for aerobic activities. Material shall be heavy duty polypropylene carpet bonded to a nominal 9/16-inch foam rubber backing. Carpeting shall be anti-static, resistant to light fading and UV degradation, and bacteria/fungus resistant. Thickness of carpet shall be approximately 1-inch; nominal carpet weight shall be 1.3 lb/sf. Carpet shall have a minimum wear index of 12,000 revolutions as measured with Taber Abrader H-10 wheels with weights of 1,000 grams per wheel. Carpet shall have Noise Reduction Coefficient (NFC) rating of 0.25 -- 0.35 and a nominal impact rating of +0.14. Materials shall meet flammability requirements of DOC FF 1-70, DOC FF 2-70, and ASTM E 648, and smoke generation requirements of ASTM R 662.
