The positions are for one theoretical and one experimental research postdoc in the area of optical properties of semiconductor laser diodes. The theoretical effort will focus on computational analysis of the band structure and associated optical properties of semiconductor quantum well lasers. The experimental effort will employ a variety of optical techniques, hot electron photoluminesence spectroscopy to measure the valence band dispersion of the quantum wells.
