8(a) firms of the Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA
Requirement No. is 1013-98-803849. The Seattle District, Corps of
Engineers is soliciting proposals for a multiple-award, multi-year
remediation contract (MARC) and IDIQ requirement for remedial
activities in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. The contractor
will perform multidisciplinary hazards, toxic and radiological waste
remediation projects and other related environmental compliance,
abatement, prevention, minimization, restoration and improvement
projects in support of both military and civil funded programs in our
four state geographical region. Examples of the types of projects
anticipated include but are not limited to: contaminated soil
excavation and disposal, asbestos and lead based paint abatement, tank
removals and system upgrades, facility efficiency upgrades, water
treatments, pollution prevention and waste minimization projects and
habitat and wetlands mitigation. One IDIQ contract will be awarded as
a result of this solicitation. Note that this requirement is referenced
in CBD notice published o/a 27 may 98 for RFP DACW67-98-R- 0033. As
requirements develop, task orders will be issued on a competitive or
sole-source basis, at the Government's option. Awardee (SBA-8a firm)
may also compete with other sources (e.g., awardees under RFP
DACW67-98-R-0033) for projects. Projects may range from remediation,
based on provided design documents, both formal and informal, to
design-build remediation projects. Projects may be simple to highly
complex in nature. The contract will include a base year and two option
periods. Maximum value of all work awarded under the MARCs will be
limited to $4 million per period and $12 million over the life of the
contracts. There are no minimum and maximum task order limits
established under the MARCs, but no single task order will exceed the
contract period limit. Solicitation will be available o/a 24 June 98 at
no charge per set. No individual sheets are available. Documents will
be issued on a first come, first served basis until supply is
exhausted. No phone requests accepted. Refer to RFP DACW67-98-R-0035
when ordering. Requests must be in writing and must be received before
RFP documents will be mailed. Requests may be FAXed to (206) 764-6817
or sent via eMail to plans-room-cenws-ct@usace.army.mil. An additional
confirmation copy need not be mailed. Please be sure to include if you
are an 8(a) prime, sub or Plans Room. The solicitation may be picked
up from our plans room Monday thru Friday between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
