SOURCES SOUGHT -- DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROL (DDC) SYSTEM, NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY, WASHINGTON, DC SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE -- EFA Chesapeake will be executing various construction and renovation project at NRL Washington, DC, during fiscal year 99. Some of these projects will require direct digital control (DDC) systems to control heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The DDC systems will be integrated into an existing base wide Landis & Staefa System 600 system. Sources are sought to provide DDC systems as follows: Provide a DDC system as a distributed control system. The system shall have stand alone digital controllers. Modular Building Controler, Terminal Equipment Controler (MCB's or TEC's), a communications network and a separate workstation computer with workstation software. The control system shall be capable of down-loading and up-loading of programs between an existing remote workstation and the digital controllers. The new DDC system shall be fully compatible with the existing Landis & Staefa System 600 located throughout the base such that the existing DDC system can fully communicate with the new DDC systems without the use of gateways or routers and with out loss of any existing capability and flexibillity. The new DDC system shall be similar to the existing system such that maintenance personnel have little problem learning and using the new system. Provide written qualification statements to Alyson Harbage, Contracting Officer, at the above address, Attn Code 0212, within 10 days from the date this notice initially published. In the absence of other qualifying sources, it is the intent of this agency to identify Landis & Staefa System 600 as the name brand product within the construction documents for all upcoming NRL, Washington, DC projects for fiscal year 99, as no other type of equipment will satisfy the minimum requirements.
