S -- UNIFORM RENTAL AND LAUNDRY SERVICES POC Sharon Phillips, Contract Specialist, 202-874-3255 The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) anticipates acquiring uniform rental and laundry services for its employees at the Washington, D.C. and Fort Worth facilities. The BEP intends to award separate contracts for each location. The uniform service is for employees who handle paints, industrial inks, solvents and various types of chemicals classified as contaminants and/or irritants. The uniforms must be picked up and laundered from both these locations on a weekly basis. BEP currently has approximately 1,240 employees in Washington, D.C. and 450 employees in Fort Worth requiring uniform service. The BEP is trying to determine the commercial availability of uniform rental and laundry service and has prepared a Commercial Item Questionnaire to aid in this market research.
