Management has a requirement for 1 Voice Mail Messaging System to
support their Fairbanks Northern District Office. The solicitation
requires a quote FOB Destination to the Northern District Office in
Fairbanks, Alaska. If you are interested, please mail your quote by 19

Anchorage, AK 99507-2599. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for
commercialitems in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice;
quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. Solicitation number is 1422L953-Q98-5041 and is issued as a
request for quote. The solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 90-46. This procurement is unrestricted under Standard
Industrial Code 3661. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instruction to
Offerors-Commercial, and any addenda, applies to this acquisition.
Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, is hereby incorporated
with the following factors to be included in paragraph (a): Low
responsive, responsible offeror, Best Value Price. Offerors must
include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror
Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with the offer.
The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, and any addenda,
apply to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and
Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive
Orders-Commercial Items, applies. Pricing shall be itemized as follows:
Item 1 -- Required system, Interface with hybrid Nortel (Northern
Telecomm) PABX. The common and network equipment is an Option 61C
running RIs 19 Software (can be upgraded). The peripheral shelves are
an SL1N. The lines are a mix of analog (2500) and SL1 (multi-line). The
system shall support 100 voice mailboxes and be capable of modularly
expanding to a minimum of 300 voice mailboxes and require more ports to
handle the load. The purchased system should have a minimum of 8 hours
of storage. This should also be expandable. The system should be
programmable so callers shall be able to do the following: Access a
live person immediately, dial another extension or leave a message,
audio prompts should guide the caller through the various options.
Subscribers should be able to: Configure the voice mailbox with a menu
driven system and record their own messages both locally and from a
remote location. Remotely access and manage their voice mailbox (e.g.
Call in and retrieve, delete, and otherwise organize their voice
mailbox. Subscribers should be able to remotely record a new message.
Item 2 -- Optional -- Ability to integrate with various clients of
common e-mail packages. (E.g. Groupwise, Lotus Notes, CC Mail,
MicroSoft Mail). Ability to integrate with a Pop3 client such as Eudora
is also a plus. The system shall not require the e-mail package in
order to be operational. Additional information for Optional
Integration of voice mail and e-mail: For the purposed of voice mail,
our LAN is IP-based. The platforms include AIX, Windows, and Macintosh.
Ability for the optional e-mail integration to integrate with the
e-mail clients for all these platforms is a plus. If you have any
