synopsis/solicitation for commercial materials prepared in accordance
with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ)
number DTCG80-98-Q-3FA881. This solicitation document will incorporate
provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-04. The standard industrial classification code is 3561 and
the size standard is 500 employees. The requirement is for the
following: (1) 13 each Distillate Pump: Ampco model KC2, 1" x 3/4" x 4
3/4" centrifugal pump. The close-coupled motor shall be a 3600-rpm,
3/4" hp, IEEE 45 marine standard, TEFC motor. The motor shall be rated
for 3 ph / 60 Hz /440 v operating power supply. The pump material
shall be Ampco alloy 483. (2) 13 each Feed Pump: Ampco model KC2, 1
1/2" x 1 1/4" x 6" centrifugal pump. The close-coupled motor shall be
a 3500-rpm, 5-hp, IEEE 45 marine standard, TEFC motor. The motor shall
be rated for 3 ph / 60 Hz / 440 v operating power supply. Motor Frame
184JM. The pump material shall be Bronze Alloy ASTM-B-148
C958(MIL24480). (3) 13 each Ampco model KC2, 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 6"
centrifugal pump. The close-coupled motor shall be a 3500-rpm, 3-hp,
IEEE 45 marine standard, TEFC motor. The motor shall be rated for 3 ph
/ 60 Hz / 460 v operating power supply. Motor Frame 182JM. The pump
material shall be Bronze Alloy ASTM-B148 C958(MIL24480). Ship one of
each pump to various Coast Guard Units in the continental United States
these include: 1 set to Cape May, NJ, 1 set to Portsmouth, VA, 1 set to
Wilmington, NC, 2 sets to Cape Canaveral, FL, 1 set to Maimi, FL, 3
sets to St. Petersburg, FL, 1 set to Galveston, TX, 1 set to Panama
City, FL, and 1 set to Pascagoula, MS. Request destination pricing. The
requirements are to be shipped to reach the vessel on/before 8/01/98.
The government will awarda contract resulting from this solicitation to
the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will
be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors
considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offer:
