B -- PHASE I ASSESSMENT AND CHARACTERIZATION OF THE UNIFIED FILL FACILITY POC Herbert A. Thompson, Jr., Negotiator, (703) 325-1182, Edward L. Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028 The object of this effort is to obtain additional services to accurately and safely complete Phase I Assessment and Characterization of the Unified Fill Facility (UFF) located at Pervomaysk, Ukraine, as well as to initiate corrective actions for an existing hazardous high water condition. This effort will ensure that all follow-on efforts, particularly the repair of the water drainage system and the Phase II Neutralization and Dismantlement efforts can be safely executed. DSWA plans to issue a sole source contract to the Central Design Institute of Kiev, Ukraine. DSWA believes that the Central Design Institute is the only source able to perform this effort.
