dockside repairs including, but not limited to, the following Minimum
items: (1) Inspect Mast and Attached Structures (2) Install Isolation
Valves for MDE Jacket Water Heat Exchangers, (3) Relocate Boat Deck
Receptacles, (4) Clean Ventilation Systems, (5) Install Deck Drains,
(6) Clean/Inspect Diesel Fuel and Lube Oil Tanks, (7) Replace Air Start
Valves, (8) Install Containment Wells for AFFF System, (9) Level One
Inspection of Chain Inhaul Device, (10) Inspect Hydraulic Griping
System, (11) Inspect Four Cross Deck Winches, (12) Inspect/Test Buoy
Crane, (13) Inspect/Overhaul/Test Hydraulic Chain Stoppers, (14)Oily
Water Tank Piping Modification, (15) Test Pad Eyes, (16) Provide
Temporary Logistics. Indefinite items include, but are not limited to:
(1) Welding Repairs. Vessel's homeport is Newport, RI. Vessel's
availability is for 28 days starting 5 October 1998. The place of
performance is restricted to the vessel's homepier. There will be a
non-refundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified
check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at
300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, Va. Funds are available for
this procurement. The proposed contract listed here is part of the
Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and
specifications will be issued on or around 01 July 1998. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the
