Encoder #1 -- MDL 90H-158-5V Serial # 93-02-034. Defect: encoder has an excess temperature coefficient and does not meet original contract specifications. Encoder #2 -- MDL 90H-158-5V Serial #94-06-058. Defeat: +/- 3 counts repeatability error, will not meet accuracy specs. Encoder #3 -- MDL 90H-158-5V Serial #94-03-049. Defect: galled coupling, gray scale inoperative. This is a contemplated sole source to Sequential Electronic Systems, 249 North Saw Mill River Road, Elmsford, NY 10523. The solicitation number for this announcement is F08651-98-T-1129 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ).
