The Office of Public Health and Science/Office of Minority Health through the Program Support Center, General Acquisitions Branch plans to award a five month sole source Simplified Acquisition to Public Health Institute.The contractor will develop a California-based Multicultural Health Statistics Institute "Without Walls" to serve as a vehicle for filling a data collection gap for racial and ethnic communities for the State of California. Provide technical assistance and training (skills empowerment)for community-based organizations, academic researchers, policy analysts, and decision makers. Document the planning process to be used for developing the "Without Walls" three day institute. Develop the curriculum for the three day institute, including topics, and faculty to be used. Develop the evaluation process to be used to determine the effectiveness of the institute, and conduct the three day institute. Anticipated award date is June 23, 1998.
