The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) on behalf of the National Technical Information Service (NTIS), intends to enter into a sole-source contract with Computing Information Services, Inc. of Phoenix, Arizona for the acquisition of Information Technology related services and products for NTIS' existing Computerized Management System called CIS.PUB . The existing Computerized Management System, CIS.PUB located at NTIS was purchased and installed at NTIS in 1994. This system has been modified by CIS, Inc. to meet NTIS' changing needs. The Information technology related services and products currently required by NTIS to continue to improve and enhance CIS.PUB must be made by CIS as specified in the original license agreement. The contract will be effective from the date of award through September 30, 1999 with one (1) twelve month option. NIST anticipates awarding a Time and Materials contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Responses shall containsufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement.
