R -- DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MEDICARE QUALITY ASSURANCE DEMONSTRATION POC Paula Kolick, Contract Specialist, 410-786-5165 Pending internal clearance and the availability of funds, the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) intends to negotiate a modification with the Center for Health Policy Research (CHPR), Contract No. 500-94-0054, 1355 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, CO 80222, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 to expand the scope of work under the contract entitled Design and Implementation of the Medicare Quality Assurance Demonstration. The CHPR will use the information already developed and used to implement the Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) instrument and Outcome Based Quality Improvement Program (OBQI) at the demonstration sites in order to develop training materials for the national implementation of the same instrument and program. In addition, the CHPR will provide extensive consultation to HCFA components on the design and implementation of OASIS, OBQI, and efforts to establish a National Home Health Quality Assurance System in conjunction with efforts to implement the Home Health Prospective Payment System.
