INTEND TO EXTEND CONTRACTS DACW51-95-D-0031 AND DACW51-95-D-0032 THOMPSON 212-264-9118 The Corps of Engineers intends to extend the ordering period of Contracts DACW51-95-D-0031 with Aqua Survey, Inc. and DACW51-95-D-0032 with International Technology Corp for the period of Four(4) Months, from 1 Aug. 98 and 30 Nov. 98. This is an extension of ordering period only. No increase in dollars in the maximum ordering amount under the existing contracts will take place. Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (2). As set forth in Far 6.302-1 Inherent duplication of cost to the Government & unacceptable delays in extending the project make competition unfeasible for this four (4) month extension. This extension allows the Government time to procure new Contract(s) with effective date of 1 Dec. 98. The following is a description of the requirement that will be set forth in a synopsis for a Competitive new award. Conducting Sediment Sampling and biological Testing Services, for USACE NYD in accordance with 1991 USEPA/USACE guidance manual entitled "Evaluation of Dredged Material Proposed For Ocean Disposal -- Testing Manual" and the 1992 USEPA RGN 2/CENAN regional Implementation Manual.
