Z -- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR MODIFY HVAC SYSTEMS, BUILDING 16 AT THE NAVAL AIR STATION, LEMOORE, CALIFORNIA SOL N62474-98-B-3540 POC Contact Katherine M. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment required to furnish and construct modifications of the existing HVAC systems in Building 16. The work includes (a) Demolish existing ductwork including electric duct heaters and diffusers as indicated. (b) Remove and dispose of all air conditioning units including air cooled package chillers, pumps, piping and accessories, five air handling units, five air cooled condensing units and interconnecting piping. (c) Disconnect and remove all electrical connections and control system including control panel, thermostats, conduits and wiring between control panel and equipment and devices. (d) Remove and dispose of two exhaust fans as shown on the drawing, including electrical wiring, conduit and switches. (e) Remove and dispose of control air compressor, air receiver, air lines and controls associated with the air conditioning systems. (f) Furnish and install two new air conditioning units. (g) Furnish and install the variable air volumesystems including controls. (h) Furnish and construct cast-in-place concrete equipment pads. (i) Furnish and install natural gas piping. (j) Relocate existing fences as indicated to accommodate new HVAC equipment at grade. (k) Seal air tight and insulate wall and roof openings where existing exhaust fans and ductwork are removed. Paint with color matching existing. (l) Perform field painting of exposed ductwork, piping and supports. Work Excluded is removable and disposal of asbestos materials and lead-based paint. For purposes of completing the Representations and Certifications issued with the specification, any concern submitting a bid is classified as "small" if its annual receipts for its preceeding three fiscal years do not exceed $7,000,000 (SIC CODE 1711).
