The Naval Inventory Control Point Mechanicsburg is attempting to identify potential sources for a Requirements Contract for the manufacture of Radiological Enclosures (Glove Bags). This is a critical item for the Radiological Enclosures Acquisition Program (REAP). Radiological enclosures are expendable material items which are routinely manufactured and used in the performance of nearly every nuclear work evolution. Except for mock-up and training evolutions, enclosures are rarely reused. New enclosures are required to be manufactured for re-work, similar work evolutions and where enclosures have been damaged or found unsuitable for use. A Pre-solicitation Conference will be scheduled and sponsored by Naval Inventory Control Point Mechanicsburg.
