The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) through the General Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a twelve month sole source simplified acquisition to Yale University, School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. The contractor shall conduct a study of sixty opiate dependent persons who are stabilized in methadone treatment. Thirty patients will receive treatment within a traditional methadone clinic and 30 patients will receive treatment in the office of a private physician. The contractor will provide a report which compares the effectiveness of the treatment in the respective settings, cost analysis and patient satisfaction. Closing date is June 22, 1998.
