TEAM C4IEWS CO-SPONSORED LOGISTICS & ACQUISITION CONFERENCE This Conference is follow-on to the Army's 1st Modernization Through Spares Conference held in May 1997. This, the 2nd Conference will broaden its focus to address all acquisition initiatives directed toward reduction of Operations and Support (O&S) costs. HQ Communications Electronics Command (CECOM), Program Executive Officer Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO, IEWS), Program Executive Officer Command, Control, Communications and Systems (PEO C3S), the Society of Logistics Engineers and SAVE International will co-host the 1998 Department of the Army Conference on November 16-18 at the Marriott Wardman Park, 2660 Woodley Road, NW, Washington, D.C. The conference theme is Acquisition and Logistics Initiatives: The Journey to Reduce Operations and Support Costs. This conference will focus on the Army's efforts to modernize its weapons systems and will reinforce the Army's commitment to institutionalize cultural change within the military, civilian, and contractor work force. The conference will also provide an open forum for a free exchange of ideas and lessons learned, and clearly demonstrate management's commitment. The scope of the topics to be covered will fully examine and measure the Army's improvement in accomplishing all life cycle cost initiatives and Acquisition Logistics Reform efforts.
