Sitework includes grading, concrete paving, and drainage to complete the improvements. The new Post Office shall be steel frame with brick veneer on structured foundation. It is the intent of these Contract Documents that all materials to be incorporated into the work be free of asbestos in any form. The contractor will be required to certify that asbestos has not been incorporated into the project. Utilities must be provided for future expansion. Site is located on Forest Lane and Schroeder Road in Dallas, TX. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority Owned and Woman-Owned Business. The contractor shall subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. Offerormust provide, at time offer is due, documentation from bonding agent stating offeror's bonding capability. Performance bonds in the amount of 100% and Payment bonds in the amount of 50% will be required from the successful offeror within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 pm on July 9, 1998. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on June 9, 1998 at a cost of $100.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money order only.
