PROJECT DESCRIPTION This request for quotation is being solicited under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). It is declared and acknowledged intention and meaning to provide and secure "Construct Turnstile Gate, Vicinity OTC-3". This work includes demolition and removal of existing concrete curb and gutter, concrete curb, existing asphalt concrete, and chain link fence fabric; clearing and grubbing; alteration of existing chain link fence; installation of underground, concrete encased conduits; installation of interior wiring/conduits; installation of a new security turnstile and associated electrical controls; installation of new outdoor lighting; utility trenching, excavation, re-grading, and compaction; placement of new concrete pavement and concrete curbs; placement of steel reinforced masonry; reroute of existing irrigation pipe and components; and installation of miscellaneous and incidental related work, complete and ready for use. Plans and Specs will be available on 10 June 1998. The estimated cost is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. One pre-bid site tour is scheduled on 16 June 1998 at 10:00 a.m.. Prospective bidders must report to the Temporary Security Trailer (West of Old Town Campus Building 4), SPAWARSYSCEN, San Diego, California where the tours will start.
