information relative to man-portable thermal imaging systems currently
in production, which could enhance U.S. Coast Guard capabilities.
Systems will be required to detect a man-sized target out to .5
nautical miles and larger targets out to 16 nautical miles. Systems
will weigh less than 40 pounds and may be handheld or mounted with a
pan and tilt. The system should be compact, rugged, withstand marine
environment, have external video output and be capable of being powered
by commercial or military batteries and/or shipboard power. Information
submitted in response to this notice shall include synopsis of system
capability, system technical information, production rate, delivery
capability, warranty, supportability, and MTBF at a minimum. Send
