70 -- GDE SOCET SET IMAGE PROCESSING MODULES POC Kimberly Kleeb (703) 648-7370 The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is requesting information from commercial sources regarding commercially available image processing software for use within the National Civil Applications Program (NCAP) on Silicon Graphics Systems. The NCAP program utilizes unique classified software which requires the GDE Socet Set image processing software on Silicon Graphics computers. Based on information available at this time, the USGS considers the required software to be sole-source and plans to enter into non-competitive discussions with GDE Systems, Inc. of San Diego, California. The GDE Socet Set software required includes five sets of the following modules: Core SOCET SET, Stereo Visualization, Automated Triangulation, Terrain Extraction, Feature Extraction, Orthophoto Generation, Perspective Scene Generation, Image Mosaicking, Image Map, SPOT Math Model, LandSat Math Model, JERS Math Model and Special Math Models. Options for maintenance, training, additional copies of software modules and monitors, willbe included in the 5-year contract life. Any responses to this synopsis should contain sufficient technical documentation and descriptive literature to sufficiently describe software capabilities. Publicly available commercial pricing information in response to the above description is also requested in as much detail as possible. Neither a draft statement of work nor specifications are available. The Government will not pay for information provided in response to this synopsis. The Contracting Officer plans to acquire the software and related services pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.6 -- Test Program for Certain Commercial Items.
