Q -- MEDICAL CONSULTANT SERVICES SOL SSA6-98-2 POC Linda Washeck, Contracting Officer, 214-767-4331 Physicians needed to work under contract with the Social Security Administration Center for Disability Regional Office in Dallas, Texas which involves the application of specialized medical knowledge to review the medical evidence in Federal disability cases and provide oral and written advice to Regional Office and State Disability Determination Services Staff in a five-state area. Reviews must be performed at the SSA Regional Office in Dallas, Texas. Current licensure in the state of Texas is required. American Board Certification/Eligible offerors in these specialties are desired: internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, and speech and language pathology. Applicants with sub-specialty or special training in other clinical areas are preferred. Current training and practice are essential. No contact with patients is required. Approximately 8 to 20 hours per week required. Reguest for Proposal #SSA6-98-2 to be issued approximately July 13, 1998. Multiple awards to be made with initial contract period beginning approximately September, 1998 with four one-year option periods. All requests must refer to the RFP number.
