Sealed offers are due on or before Tuesday, July 28, 1998 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST. The estimated cost of construction is between $2,000,000.00 and $3,000,000.00 with construction completion 210 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be a preproposal conference held on site (24 Corliss Street) on Wednesday, July 8, 1998 beginning at 10:30 am to discuss the specifics of this project. Prospective contractors are encouraged to attend. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing all materials, labor and equipment required to replace the Air Handling Units at the Processing & Distribution Center, Providence, Rhode Island. There is asbestos/lead contaminated material in some of the materials. The general contractor must have a certified and licensed Asbestos/Lead abatement subcontractor as part of their team. Award will be based on price and other factors as outlined in the solicitation package.
