Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to renovate the women's locker room in the Building 204 Gymnasium located at the U. S. Coast Guard Facility at Ft. Wadsworth, ~ Staten Island, NY. The work includes but is not limited to: demolition, asbestos insulation removal, installation of new ceramic floor and wall tiles, new lockers, lighting fixtures, new toilet and shower partitions, electrical and plumbing work and miscellaneous associated work. This Invitation for Bids is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small business participation and is estimated between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The applicable SIC Code is 1542. Plans and specifications will be available at a non-refundable charge of $45.00 per set. Certified checks or money orders are required and should be made payable to Commercial Blue Print and Supply and sent to the firm at 83 Waverly Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306. For Minority, Women Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term working capita~l and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against loses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
