The US Army has a requirement to field a new 25mm training round which emulates the service Cartridge, 25mm, Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot with Tracer, M919. This new training round will be fired from the 25mm M242 Autogun on the M2/ M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle in lieu of the M919 during live fire gunnery training and qualification. The new training round is required to match the trajectory of the M919 to within 1 mil and 0.5 seconds out to a range of 2500 meters. In addition, the new round is required to have a maximum range of 8000 meters. Information regarding the level of maturity of a potential candidate, to include, a basic description, basic performance information, and the amount of testing completed is solicited. The information will be used to evaluate the magnitude of R&D, if any, which is needed to fulfill the Army's requirement.
