The US EPA, Research Triangle Park facility, requires a system with the
capacity to identify and quantify organic vapor contaminants (VOCs) as
EPA conducts research to develop methods to characterize sources of
indoor air pollution. This requirement is for 16 canisters, a
16-canister autosampler tower, and a fully integrated and automated
canister cleanup system. The canisters are required for sampling polar
and reactive compounds that are the products of reaction of indoor
VOCs with ozone. The canister autosampler tower and automated cleanup
system are required to facilitate efficient cycling of the canisters
through analysis and cleanup cycles. The Government intends to
negotiate on a sole source basis with Entech Instruments, Inc. for
canisters and automated cleaning system to support its ozone research
and other indoor air source characterization research projects. The
canister system must be compatible with the existing Entech Model 7100
organic concentrator system. Any firm that feels it can provide
equipment which meets the Government's minimum specifications must
provide sufficient documentation within 15 days of publication of this
synopsis. (0161) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0378 19980612\66-0001.SOL)
