Stennis Space Center (SSC), Commercial Remote Sensing Program (CRSP) plans to negotiate a sole-source purchase order with Analysitcal Imaging and Geophysics (AIG) for commercialization of hyperspectral remote sensing to include three tasks which are: (1) Evaluation of Probe I Hyperspectral Scanner System for SSC, (2) Development of Field Spectrometry Ground Truth Protocols, and (3) Support for SSC Upgrade of Calibration Laboratory. Note: This sole-source procurement is based on a determination that the proposed vendor is the only vendor capable of supplying the hyperspectral remote sensing to the required specifications -- Interested firms have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities in the critical areas mentioned above -- -- Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis -- -- Responses received after 15 days or without the required information will be be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered -- A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order, on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government -- Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice -- Transmission by facsimile to 228/688-1141 or by Internet e-mail to jean gilreath@ssc.nasa.gov is acceptable.
