Work is to include (1) Systems engineering for MILSATCOM Medium Data Rate (MDR) integration with the Defense Information systems Network (DISN); (2) Baseband engineering support including analysis of emerging SATCOM tactical baseband configurations; (3) Software Tools Development; and (4) Integrated Logistics Support and Configuration Management. This one-year contract will require extensive knowledge of the MILSATCOM program and of the projects currently being performed in support of their mission. SMC/AXC intends to solicit and negotiate a non-competitive, small business set aside, contract with Galaxy Scientific Corporation (Galaxy), the current incumbent for this work, under the authority of FAR 6.302. Many of the tasks currently being performed are completion tasks. They will not be completed at the end of the current contract due to changes in program schedule.
