The Division of Engineering Services at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will be soliciting firms with the technical capability, expertise and other resources necessary (e.g., trained/experienced personnel, labor, tools, supplies, materials, parts and equipment) in order to provide preventive maintenance inspections, call-back repair services and special repair services for cage washers at the Bethesda and Poolesville campuses and other NIH cites in the Bethesda metropolitan area. The various cagewasher manufacturers are Industrial Washing Machine, Girton, Vernitron Medical Products, Better Built, Basil, Damus Corporation, CRS, and Cesco. A preproposal conference will be held approximately 2 weeks following issuance of the RFP. There will be a base year with four 12 month option years. Multiple awards are anticipated. This is a partial set aside with at least one contract being awarded to a small business. See note #2.
