The U.S. Department of State intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis contract with Halifax Corporation, 5250 Cherokee Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22312 to provide a six month extension to the contract under which Halifax is providing the Department with classified waste materials and operating the disintegrating equipment. This six month extension of service is needed to provide the Department with uninterrupted contractual service while the Department will solicit and award a follow-on contract for these services on a competitive basis.
