TACOM-ARDEC at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ currently has a requirement for
the production of Metal Pallets for the 155mm, HE M795 projectiles. The
metal pallets shall be produced to completely meet designated
requirements. The contractor shall provide for all necessary labor,
materials, supplies, services, facilities, and equipment to perform
this requirement. The Government does not intend to sponsor or procure
facilities for the manufacture of the M795 projectile metal pallets.
Production shall be completed by March 2001 for the basic quantity of
9,500 units, and by January 2002 for the option quantity of 9,500
units, should it be exercised. The metal pallet is a decontaminable,
non-flammable and reusable metal pallet which allows projectiles to be
easily palletized in the field with no special tools required. It
consists of a top and a base to unitize eight 155mm projectiles held
securely by two rods. The metal pallets are to be made from high
strength, low alloy steel. A Firm Fixed Price Contract is intended to
