59 -- VIDEO PROCESSOR ECA SOL F42600-98-B-C030 POC For copy, Glen Vernon/Bc/[801]777-9994, For additional information contact Glen Vernon/Bc/[801]777-9994 Sources are being sought who are interested in becoming qualified suppliers for a Video Processor Electronic Component Assembly used on the F-16 Multi Function Display (MFD). The intent is to allow a contractor the freedom to manufacture the video processor using current technology and design. The item need not be a virtual copy of the original but must function properly in the intended application, including environmental requirements. MIL- STD requirements will not be imposed as long as the video processor fits in the original space and performs throughout the F-16 flight envelope. Commercial solutions are welcome. The Air Force does not anticipate formal flight testing. The item is not required to be reparable. The present part number of the video processor is 8001288-922, designed by Honeywell (CAGE 07187). This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bids (IFB). The Air Force is initially requesting an estimated cost per unit based on anticipated buys of 240 units the first year and 84 units the second year.
