procurement was previously synopsized as two separate procurements in
the Commerce Business Daily issue dated August 12, 1997. The National
Park Service requires a contractor to provide all labor for the
following installations: 1) Installation and testing of new government
furnished hardwire and wireless intrusion detection equipment. The
contractor shall install on site government owned equipment for museum
intrusion detection, artifact protection, paging, and CCTV systems.
The contractor shall furnish any and all other related components
necessary to make the Intrusion Detection/Artifact Protection and
Paging system fully operational. 2) The contractor shall remove two
existing hardwire intrusion detection systems located at the
Washington's Headquarters Unit as follows: a- the contractor shall
remove the Arrowhead Control Panel and all related components of the
security system not otherwise used in the new system; b- the contractor
shall remove Fire Burglary Instruments (FBI) Model XL4C Intrusion
system, and all components of the security system not otherwise used in
the new system. The contractor shall provide a building schematic of
proposed wire routing at the site and will provide an as-built drawing
of all work, prior to closeout. 3) Installation and testing of new
government furnished CCTV Monitoring and VHS Time Lapse Recording
System equipment, and installation and testing of CCTV Fiber Optic
Transmission System between the Museum and Ford Mansion for museum
intrusion detection, artifact protection, paging, and CCTV systems. The
contractor shall fully integrate the function o the Intrusion
Detection, Artifact Protection and Paging System with the CCTV
Monitoring and Time Lapse Recording System to the extent that they are
compatible and appropriately specified. Incompatibilities between the
specified and /or government furnished components will be identified
to the government. 4) Remove exisiting CCTV camera and monitor and
wiring located at Wahington's Headquarters Unit. The work will be
performed at the Washington Headquarters Unit of Morristown National
Historical Park, in Morristown, New Jersey. The system will provide
intrusion detection and artifact protection for two buildings in this
unit using one control panel located at the Museum building. The
buildings are located approximately 600 feet from one another and are
connected by an underground conduit. Government furnished components
include: a-Control Panel: Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) XR200L
surface mounted control panel manufactured by Digital Monitoring
Products; b- Related System Components: Compatible with Digital
Monitoring Products (DPM) XR200L surface mounted control panel,
manufactured by DMP; c- Wireless System Components: Manufactured by
Inovonics, Inc; d- Vicon Duplex Camera Multiplexer, Model V816DC-NP;
e-Vicon Color Time Lapse Recorder, Model VCR-402; f- CCTV Color
Cameras, Vicon Model VC2939; g- TV Monitor, Vicon Model VM-620A; h-
Fiber-Optic Transmitter/Receiver, Vicon Model V2754-1; i- Miscellanious
Components. Asite visit of the grounds will be scheduled at a date and
time to be specified in the solicitation. Solicitation may be issued
on or about 18 July 1998. No telephone requests for this solicitation
