Intent: Structural engineering and other engineering services are required for the preparation of drawings and specifications with a cost estimate for design of concrete abutments for the replacement of an existing steel superstructure (bridge). Project Description: Design services shall include design of concrete abutments for a government-furnished prefabricated steel superstructure (bridge) 14 feet wide and 60-80 feet long. The project is located southwest of Kellogg, Idaho on Langlois Creek, a tributary of Pine Creek. Cost Information: The Government construction estimate is approximately $60,000.00. Duration of the contract allows for a 45 calendar day design/review period. Evaluation Criteria in order of importance are: (1) Special experience: projects of similar magnitude and approximations to like function. (Bridge abutments, bridges, various other abutments.); (2) Past Performance: Customer relationship, quality of design; (3) Capacity to complete work: Timeliness of performance, potential to start on time; (4) Geographical Location: proximity of design firm to the requesting project office. (5) Professional Qualifications: possession of a state license, established place of business. Firms submitting a SF255 shall also include: (1) Organization of proposed project team; (2) Responsibilities and authority of Key Project Personnel; (3) Relationship of project team to overall organization of the firm; and (4) A quality control plan. This is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The selected firm shall be a small business.
