The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Washington, DC has a requirement for per call hardware maintenance services for computer equipment located at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland. The contractor will be required to repair or replace equipment manufactured by Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics, Hewlett Packard, Digital Equipment Corporation and other high-end workstations and associated equipment. The list of equipment may change throughout the life of the contract. The maintenance services will include all parts, materials, labor, shipping, travel, equipment, and facilities necessary to repair or replace the malfunctioning equipment. The contractor must use only new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts or parts equal in quality to new OEM parts for repairs and replacements. All maintenance will be performed to return an inoperative or malfunctioning item to OEM specified performance levels. The contractor will be required to respond to service requestswithin the Principle Period of Maintenance (PPM). The PPM coverage is Monday through Friday from 0800 hours to 1700 hours, except Federal holidays. The contractor must provide technical assistance, via telephone, during the PPM to answer questions and to provide directions concerning the operation and maintenance of all items in connection with a failure or malfunction. The contractor will be required to provide proof of training of all their technicians to ensure they are fully trained and experienced to service the equipment being maintained. This equipment is currently being maintained under contract number N00600-93-C-1916 by Integrated Systems Group, Inc. This will be a Firm Fixed Price Services type contract for a base year and four one-year options. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12 "Acquisition of Commercial Items." FAR Clause 52.217-8 "Option to Extend Services" (AUG 1989) applies. Up to approximately 300 labor hours may be required each year. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
