Cazares, Contract Specialist, (407) 494-4220, Jimmy McDaniel, Contracting Officer, (407) 494-7227 The 45th Space Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida intends to acquire on a sole source basis from Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) supplies and services for the Joint Test Force (JTF) located at the Grumman Facility in Melbourne, Florida. DEC is the single integrator of the JTF system. The acquisition consists of software and hardware maintenance, on-call programmer-analyst support, technological enhancements to DEC computers, training, and integration services for proprietary VMS software and VAX hardware. Maintenance and programmer-analyst personnel must possess U.S. citizenship and secret clearance. The computer facility consists of a classified network providing mission data reduction and analysis of flight test data. It includes a VAX 4060 computer, VAX 4500 computer, DEC Alpha 2100 Server, 2 Alpha 600 servers, Alpha 400 Server, Alpha 1000 Server and various tape drives (9-track, 8mm, 4mm and DLT). The associated classified cluster includes IBM compatible PCs, VAX and Alpha workstations. These systems are listed in the maintenance agreement.
