The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision as necessary to inspect, test, certify and repair backflow preventers at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Verification that the Contractor employs a Certified Backflow Prevention Tester meeting all the requirements and hold a current, valid certificate issued by the Board of Certification of Backflow Prevention Device Testers of the New England Water Works Association must accompany the bid. Submission of Backflow Preventer Tester certification issued by other organizations, associations, or entities, which have similar or equivalent standards as NEWWA, may be acceptable, subject tot he approval of the Contracting Officer. The SIC code for this procurement is 8999 with a size standard of $5,000,000. The period of performance is one calendar year with the inclusion of options up to an additional four years.
