This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-98Q1591. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-4. This acquisition is unrestricted; the standard industrial classification code is 3812. The acquisition is for the following items: Line Item 0001, 2 each, Airborne triple-deck video recorder, MFR: TEAC of America Inc, P/N: V-83AB-FS. The part number provided above is meant to show the Government's minimum requirements. Offerors can quote on equals. The offered units shall meet the following performance requirements: The airborne triple-deck video recorder shall consist of three (3) video recorders within one unit. This ruggedized recorder shall be capable of recording three video signals both simultaneously and separately and it shall comply with international standard for Hi-8mm tape format, 120 minutes recording using all three video recorders simultaneously and optionally 360 minutes when used separately. 525 scan rate. 28 VDC input per MIL-STD-704E.
